I have no idea what the problem with it is but on my toshiba laptop running windows 7 the trackpad AND usb mouse just quit working out of the blue. Neither work at all. I've got a new mouse, and made sure the button for the trackpad was on and everything. I have no idea what it could be, I booted into safe mode and they still wouldnt work, but I dont think its a hardware issue because when I booted into the recovery/reformat screen thingy they both worked! I have no idea what it can be and my options are limited on what and where I can go since I have no mouse or trackpad, I have to tab/arrow to even get as far as I did. All the other keys work fine.
