usage? if I'm on my mobile I usually put it on loudspeaker and keep it away from me , and when I'm on the telephone i use a headset , are these safer than normal phone usage?
my job requires me to use a phone constantly so this is why I'm asking

what do you mean by safer?

it is not unsafe to use a telephone.. unless of course you are driving, or operating heavy machinery that requires your attention, and the telephone is a distraction...

if you are talking about RF exposure... there is no scientific evidence that the use of a telephone has any negative health consequences.. plus the amount of RF that is emitted from consumer electronic devices such as phones are regulated by the FCC, and tested to ensure that they are transmitting within safe levels...

but... a wired headset, or speaker phone where you do not need to keep the phone's transmitter next to your head will reduce the amount of RF that you are exposed to... not that it makes much of a difference since it is not harmful in the first place..
