Is there a way to use Android Apps on Blackberry?

Blackberry is my first smart phone. I love it! however, Blackberry lacks apps in their store. Also there a very few free apps. I don't want to spend money on something I may not like or may not even work properly. So is there a emulator that I can download on my blackberry? If not, is RIM even planning to do something about the app problem?
