I put in a CD-R with only about 20 songs in it just to test it, and it took about 7 minutes just to read and start playing the first song. What's more annoying is if you skip to the next song, it will take about 10 minutes just to start playing that chosen song!! Often times it does not play at all. I returned the unit and received a new one. Still the same. Funny thing is, according to the shop, the first unit was fine. . I tried several softwares, CD-Rs and slow burns, still the same. There are no complicated folder trees and the filenames have .jpg. Tried the CD-rs in my dad's xlpod, and after 3 seconds, the song is played . . Anybody??
However, CD-Audio, DVD and VCD works fine. All play immediately after putting disc in.
