newer Mazda? had a 2001, 626, one time Check engine light came up, the gas cap was loose, tightened it and the light went away in like <10 miles.
my 2007, mazda3, same problem, but the CEL didn't go away until 200 miles later
ya the last episode with the 3 was cuz it was raining that day when i fueled up, i just quickly closed the cap trying not to get wet.
the previous episode with 626 was my first CEL ever. The car just passed 60,000 mark when that light came up, what a coincidence huh?
