I was in a recent accident involving 3 cars. I was a result for someone getting rear ended causing him to serve into carpool lane which i was in. The fault is not mine.
Currently the car is in a tow yard
Is there significant evidence that the car is considered totaled?
Damages is to the two doors, windshield, the frame on the windshiel, fender, front bumper, and what I think is a part of the engine frame. I can not tell if there is damage to the wheel or the axel but I did move 5 lanes from the carpool to the shoulder with the help of the tow truck stopping traffic.
Kelly blue deems the car value at 8 or 9k
Carmax sells for around 10k
My insurance wants to retrieve the car from the tow lot. Should I let them or take it to a toyota dealership for another estimate, and if they do take it will I be able have it returned for other estimate.
My desired outcome is to have the car totaled, what can I do to reach it?
