...4wd vehicle? Basically what I am asking is if there is a center differential on the 4wd ford explorer (newer body style), or if there is just a front and rear differential like a typical 4 wheel drive vehicle. The only options are 4wd auto, 4 low, and 4 high. There is no 2wd option. I just wondered because I read that 4wd vehicles should be put in 4wd at least 10 miles a month, but all wheel drive vehicles don't need to. I had an AWD Pacifica that didn't have any option as to what type of driving you wanted to do. Perhaps someone with a background knowledge of the newer explorers could help me out. Thanks.
