IPhone 3g update 3.2 or 4.2?

I have an Iphone 3g and it hasn't been update in a while. I went to download this application called "Inception," and I can't do it without the 3.2 software. If you download the new 4.2 software from apple...will I be able to download the application that requires the 3.2 software? and If not how can I get ahold of the 3.2 software? I appreciate the help Thanks

Yes. The updates are free by the way. Connect your iphone to itunes and it will do the rest
