So at the end of the film, was Cobbs dreaming or not? Can you back it up with proof?

I can't decide... I really think the entire movie was just a construct in his mind and that none of it happened b/c at the beginning he mentions that your totem has to be unique to you, but then he was using Mal (wife)'s totem the entire time... meaning you couldn't tell whether it was a dream state or not...
