tactics? Taller fighters have an advantage from further away but do they actually have a disadvantage when fighting up close? Since they have longer limbs wouldn't they also need more space in order to get the right amount of leverage to throw their strikes effectively. I'm 5 ft 8 in tall at 185 lbs and planning on competing as a welterweight. I have a strong wrestling base and many people agree being short and stocky is advantageous for grappling but is it also advantageous for very close range stand-up striking?
