What is the importance of a satellite in a geosynchronous orbit and what does it have to do with communications, TV, military and computers? Please refer me to websites if you can, thanks!

High Earth Orbit, out about 22,000 miles or so, the orbit of the satellite is the same as the rotation of the Earth, so it remains above the same area of the Earth continuously. This is a perfect position to broadcast TV programs, relay telephone transmissions, and reliable military communications.

Links are easy to find. I can't do everything for you. That's why God created Google!
