...and the others like her have left? Would the states like Arkansas Virginia, and Tennessee still have voted to leave the union?
 
The secession began before Lincoln's inauguration. Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederacy was sworn in before Lincoln was. In 1856, Democrats ran saying that if a Democrat was not elected, the South would secede. A Democrat was elected, James Buchanan. In 1860, a Republican was elected, Abraham Lincoln. The South seceded. The Civil War was not the result of any action Lincoln took. It had been building for a long time.
