If i buy fatal frame the japanese video game for ps2: will it work or do i

specifically need a jap ps2? So I'm looking into buying fatal frame 1,2 and 3 for ps2 because that's all I've found all three for, but what I'm wondering as I was surfing eBay is when I buy the games will they work on a us purchased ps2? Or do I need to buy a Japanese purchased ps2? Because this game is rare and I'm wondering if its only sold as a Japanese game, so someone please give me a good answer before I waste like $300 on shit that won't work thanks!
