I have a Kodak camera with which I have taken home movies. They are in .mov format. I have a vdownloader...paid version, and an any video converter and I have tried to convert them in both programs. When I convert them to anything but mpeg the video goes too fast. I tried to burn them to dvd in many programs including the windows media player. Most programs wont recognize them. Why are .mov files so hard to work with? When I try to convert them to DVD format is says error. I tried using the nero quick media and it did not burn them correctly. I tried to watch the dvd and that part froze as a photo and the audi kept going in a circle it was odd. I tried to use the windows movie maker and it said it needed codecs and would not work it did not import the .mov files at all. I can burn them to a data dvd but this is not what i want to do. I want to turn it into a dvd. It works with files from my video camera but not the .mov files. Can anyone help me with this? I just dont know what else to try. I am frustrated and have been at this for days.

DVD Flick is DVD authoring software that is easy to use and free. It supports Quicktime video - and a lot of others. You can put a menu on your videos and then burn them to DVD.

.mov files are a Quicktime native format, so you can either download Quicktime pro and check out this link http://www.2dreamers.com/tutorials/export_mov.shtml or download Radtools (Bink-Smacker) heres the link http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/others/data/1026158289691.shtml...goodluck!
