showing the same problem again? i'm unable to partition my external seagate 1tb hdd. when ever i'm trying to shrink the volume it is saying that the volume you have selected may be corrupted...
i have scanned that using chkdsk.. it took aroung 50 hours of time to complete the scan and some how around 11000 bad file sectors are processed...
then i've tried to shrink the volume again.. but even it showing the same error again and again...
i've used SFC /SCANNOW and CHKDSK /R/B/F....

Every time it is showing something is fixed but problem persists....

kindly help me how to face the problm.
i've 800GB of data which is very important.
so i can not format the HDD ENTIRE.
