I have not closed out any matches yet because I know not everyone checks their email very often, but what if I do and they log in the next day? If they view my profile after I close the match, and there's a chance they'll be interested, can I re-open the match to let them contact me?
I just think its rude to close someone without saying anything at all. I am not going to close matches about which I am really optimistic, but who knows if someone I don't like at first sight turns out to be the one?
