I have 17 months left on my telus contract how much to buy out?

I have a contract and I have 17 months left
Does anyone know how much to buy out? (Ontario)
I want to get a better phone with Bell. Telus sucks so bad.
Also, any ideas on how to maybe get Telus to upgrade me to a better phone without buying out instead? I might stay with Telus if they give me a good offer.
Anyone have any experiances with good luck getting deals etc?
I'm done with having a stupid Blackberry.

Buying out a contract usually requires you to pay $25/month left on the contract. So you'd be looking at $425 to buy out your contract.

Depending on how good you are at haggling, you might get an amazing deal to upgrade. Though upgrading will require you to buy out the contract or just add those years onto a new contract (usually new phones come with a 2-3 year contract). Time to go fishing. Check out different plans and deals offered with Bell, Fido, Koodo, Wind etc and go back to Telus and tell them what you've been offered and ask if they'll match it (I got myself an amazing Fido deal this way).
