I need to make green bean casserole for a party but want to make a original recipe. Give me your opinion
I was going to steam the green beans with chicken broth. I was debating on putting so smoked turkey legs in the steaming chicken broth to infuse the flavor with the green beans.If I do, should I chop up the turkey legs and put it in the casserole itself, or just us it for the steaming. For the sauce, I am using fairly typical ingredients like cream of chicken soup,butter, onion,milk and parmesan cheese. I am debating if the smoky flavor of the turkey would taste good with the creamy sauce.
Lastly do you have any original ideas for a topping? I was going to use the typical french fried onions but I want my casserole to be different,
