Hi. I want to travel to Europe again. I went when I was a kid but since I was a kid I didn't enjoy it to its full potential. So I'd like to go back to Italy and France this Summer. I have $5000 in cash that I have saved up. I have no credit cards or bank account. I'll most likely be going alone.
Any advice? I'd like to see the sites, go to bars, etc. I'm not really sure where I would stay though. Are hostels safe? In the possible situation that my money is lost and my passport stolen or something like that, what should I do? Just go to my embassy?
