How to tell what size brake drums I have.?

I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge Supercab 4x4 4.0L engine. I am trying to figure out what size brake drums I need to buy for the rear brakes. Thanks.

it tells you the size on the drum. i would guess they are a 10 inch drum. or you can measure the inside of the drum too.

I'm not sure I can help. I can't see why the auto zone can't get right. I did some research and it seems you have a problem. Check this site out and see if it makes any sense to you.

Just go to the auto parts store they can look it up for you based on your year, make and model and order the exact part. You don't need to measure anything.

Some vehicles have optional larger brakes. Measure both the inside diameter and the width of the drum, just to make sure.
