How to put a movie from DVD onto my ipod nano?

I have an ipod nano 5th generation and i'm using the free trial of Cucusoft to convert to an ipod file. Here is the link:

And when I'm converting, it plays the movie while converting but theres no sound to it... is that normal? if not what do i have to do to fix it? thanks!
