How to get wifi with a USB adapter (bluetooth) on PC?!?

I bought a usb adapter so i could get wifi but i have no clue how to setup or get wifi?? My neighbors have wifi without a password that they let us use on my laptop and ipod touch, but i dont know how to get it on desktop? I got the USB/Bluetooth. Please help

You cannot get wi fi on a bluetooth adapter. You need a wi fi adapter.
Although bluetooth is a wireless comms interface its totally different from wi fi.

You can't get WiFi with a Bluetooth adapter. The reason is that WiFi =/= Bluetooth

You can, however, buy a WiFi USB adapter instead.
