...without a salvage title? I have exhausted every way I know to find a 1969 Chevy Corvette Stingray Convertible for a project car. I have looked online, on craigslist, in auto-trader, called junk yards, drove around and even called all the mechanics and car dealers in the area and around the state and other states to try and find a suitable project car. I am too stubborn to accept that it is out of my initial price range of $5k but it is starting to seem that way. Any car I have found, in my price range, has been way beyond my ability to undertake. I would be willing to put in a new engine, transmission, interior, and paint it. I am not really interested in major body work or rusty frames. I don’t really want to get into salvaged vehicles because of my limited knowledge about cars. Seems I could get in too far over my head, as I am already going to be. Any helpful advice or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
