how to be funny and cool in the same time?

i'm a funny guy, have lot of friends, but i'm not cool, none takes me seriously, most of the time i'm joke to everyone,clown... they make jokes about me, nicknames, if i try to say my serious opinion i get an insult, they don't categorize me as normal/equal (mostly other guys cause i don't have big ego) ...can't get in serious relationship because to girls i'm only a friend.
Some other guys are still funny without becoming clowns, girls have crushes on them, they are popular, and in my case if i'm out with only one friend then everything is fine, but in larger group i ain't equal...
