how strong is he iPad 4th geration screen?

I kept my iPad 4 in my bag along with my books, however it was at the back of my bag where my calculator and my metal pencil case is. So I was wondering how strong the iPad 4's screen is.

BTW: The iPad 4 was in this case with something like the apple smart cover for the protection for the screen.

Well, I've seen a (literally) bent iPhone 5 because the owner sat on it.

If you have a smart cover and NEVER intend to sit on your bag while your iPad is still in it, it should be just fine. I often keep my iPod Touch in a tight pocket together with keys and coins, and it never scratch the glass screen, only scratch the plastic screen guard.
