How should I start my book?

I would like to write a book about a girl who is very normal and a new group of people arrive in town which has disastrous effects on the town and their people.

No vampires, werewolves, angels, etc are going to be in it.

I don't know how to start it so just idea's please.

.......once upon a twice long, long ago in the future, their was this little girl who had many a "funny, perculiar,* dream". This is one of them.

Here is a list of first lines from 100 famous novels. Maybe it will give you inspiration.

Plus, I use yWriter5. It's software that helps you write character sketches, etc and keep track of it.
