I have the original DS. The silver one before the lite and stuff. Mine hasn't been lasting long at all. For example, I charged my DS for 7 hours while away at school and the charge light was off when I came home. I started to play it, and after about and hour the red light came on for the low battery alert. I am pretty sure this is not supposed to happen that fast.
