The coils in the front on my 98 dodge ram 1500 lifted about 4"-6" (still don't know) have little bits of rust over them and my leaf springs in the back have a straight line of rust. How do I know whether I can just sand them down and put primer on them or that they will snap soon if I'm not careful and they need to be replaced?
