electrons it has in each n level? i'm studying for a chemistry test and I am a little confused on how to solve problems like these:
example:
What element contains 4 electrons in it's outermost energy level : n=2 ?
The answer is Carbon, but I'm not sure how you would figure this problem out.
Also could you explain what a cation and anion are, and orbitals and the p,x,y mean?
