How do people style their hair in the south?

I know it's extremely humid and muggy in the summer. I'm moving there, and I have pretty curly hair. Do people attempt to straighten it? Wear it "big"? Scrunch it? What's in style?

I live on the gulf coast and HAVE SUPER CURLY HAIR!!! I straighten it but the humidity makes it poof! Really lots of product will get you through! I use LA looks Sport gel and it keeps it in place, if you are planning on being outside alot dont waste time straightening it just wear it curly!
