on a leash? I am very familiar with the breed (Cane Corso) and I currently have a female that is the best dog I have ever owned. We rescued him from a friend who's room mate was bitten twice by the dog. We have done a gradual introduction to the family and the dog is great when not on the lead. However, when I get him on the lead to try and walk him, he completely changes his temperment, and displays classic signs of fear aggression (Pupils blown, hackets up, growling and snapping). This is not a dominance issue because he submits to me when off lead. I am currently at a loss for what to do. I have been around dogs all my life and I have never experienced anything like this. Does anyone have any advice for me? He is extremely Intelligent and like I said a great dog when off lead. Thank you.
