How do I maintain an optimal metabolism rate?

'm trying to maintain an optimal metabolism rate. I have found something that works for my body at this time. But I want to make sure that its not going to cause problems down the road. (slowing my metabolism) This is what I'm doing now. I ride a stationary bike six times a week for an hour and twenty minutes. I eat a large breakfeast and lunch. A mixture of vegatbles and 65 grams of protein in each meal. For a total of 130 grams of protein. Then for dinner at 6 p.m. I only eat an apple and a glass of milk. My concern is that my metabolism will go into conservation mode eventually by doing this. Can someone please clear up this mess for me. Thanks for your time.
