How do I install a new blue-ray drive into my PS3?

The logic board apparently does not work on my old blue-ray drive. I installed the old board onto the new drive because everyone was talking about the motherboard and the logic board needing to be married. When I did this nothing happened. I used the old ribbons and everything. When I changed it to the new logic board the disc went in and out without fail and began spinning, but it would not show up on my tv. Is there anyway to marry these two boards without having to send it in to someone to do. I don't have any money, so I am trying to do this as cheaply as possible. I'm already out $20.00 on a new blue-ray drive.

PS3 1st Gen. CECHA01
60 GB HDD
Single optic reverse compatible blue-ray drive
Using low definition and a CRT television.

Is there any help out there for me?? I was really getting some good game time on COD-MW3 online when my blue-ray went out.

I am in need of some helpful information.

They have good videos on youtube on how to do that. I was checking it out a few days ago because my blue ray drive went bad. It is a little complicated though so you have to know what you are doing.
