Like it says in the title how do I convert the DVD player movies-the ones I ripped off the disc onto my harddrive-into itunes so I can put them on my iPhone? Is there a free downloadable program that is compatible with Mac OS X Lion?

EDIT: Sorry James Gibson I forgot to specify I have Mac OS X Lion
 
Of course. u need a dvd ripping software like imacsoft dvd ripper for mac which is fullly support mac os x lion

just rip dvd to mp4 format which is supported by itunes is ok.
