How can you prevent cigarette smell from getting all over the house?

How effective will opening a window take, and how long until smoke is gone
or any stronger methods (besides "stop smoking")

Be considerate of others, smoke outside..Trust me I'm NOT downing smokers. I'm a former smoker and I didn't want my house to smell so I smoked outside.=)

There really isn't a good way to keep it out other than smoking outside. Smoking by a window fan that is blowing out works a little but the smell will build up on the fan and the area around the window eventually.
