We were just driving to dinner and then we hit one of those pointy ice chunks that sometimes likes to chill in the middle of the road. Now the car is super duper loud - so we figured that we probably hit the muffler or the exhaust or something- but what is really concerning is that it is having problems accelerating and it's super loud and has a hard time accelerating past 60. Is this something serious or is it just sad because the muffler fell off? Any answers would be super appreciated, we are trying to get with family for Christmas. Thanks and Merry Whatever You Celebrate to you.

That is normal . The car has some damage to the oxygen sencor. Which is lie,ing to the computer. Use caution if you are going to travel.
The car may stall out. Sorry
