I am going to Germany with my daughter on a school trip. One of the teachers going along is from there. Should we buy euros? Will a loadable Visa Green Dot card work there? What about Visa travel money cards from our US bank? How much spending money should we take for 10 days and 5 cities ( We like to shop). Is there a place we shouldn't miss? Any advice and information would be helpful.

You should probably buy some Euros here and take them along with you, but you can also always exchange US Dollars to Euros pretty much everywhere in Germany, just go to a local bank :) The big airports also have currrency exchange booths :)
Credit cards are not very popular in Germany and are not accepted in too many places, cash is "the way to go" in Germany :)
You should take/plan to exchange quite a bit of spending money, since Germany is quite expensive :)
Wonderful places to visit are Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Cologne, Neuschwanstein Castle and the Rhine River, (take a river-tour, if possible, it's absolutely gorgeous) :)
Have fun and safe travels! :)
