...his parents death? I mean he's not technically family. And didn't anyone question how Alfred could be both a butler and a parent to Bruce?

Maybe his parents left him to Alfred but I still don't understand how he could be a butler and a parent to Bruce.

Well actually...Bruce didn't live at home very long after his parents death. Shortly after his parents were killed Bruce travelled abroad for 12 years. How a little kid does that, I don't know.

well the money, close family friend, the house was probably left to Bruce, and *obvious* Bruce didnt have any other family to take care of him. not to mention its a fake story so it makes sense to let him stay with Alfred
