i got a pretty alright system from school for free, like a gig of ram 3, ghz, pretty nice specs for a pc i will only use to act as a server/download. the hd is 80 gb and i would like to know if its still safe. any tests i can run via windows that would check its integrity. and what exactly is making the noise. its basically that old hdd sound. runs fine though, (so far)
