Heyy whatsup you guys?
So I've been playing guitar for quite a while (acoustic) and finally i'm going to get myself an electric guitar. And ever since my parents burst out the news that my budget would be around $1300 I am excited and shuffling through websites.
I mostly listen to Green Day, i like the sound they had on Dookie and other previous albums and I like their newer stuffs too. I need a guitar which can give me THAT sound which I want. Aside Green day, I listen to bands like AC/DC, Megadeth, blink 182, Kansas, Zeppelin and stuff.
I was bent on getting Gibson Les Paul Jr

But then i've considered these guitars and people told me that Jr is not very versatile, but I really do like Junior's punchy P-90 sound
Other guitar's I've considered are Gibson SG standard and Fender Stratocaster.
Which one do you think I should buy?
