The woman who was in charge of the Post Office when branch managers were falsely accused of fraud should consider giving up her CBE, the postal services minister said on Wednesday. Kevin Hollinrake criticised the award given to Paula Vennells, who was the CEO of the Post Office from 2012 to 2019. The MP added he would also support criminal prosecutions following the scandal, which saw more than 700 workers prosecuted based on “flawed” information from computer system Horizon.
