fitness... Alternative to running?

over the last few months i have been running frequently in a bid to lose weight. Then i injured my foot in a way that limited me to walking short distances painfully. No good, now im on holiday for a few weeks and i really want to get fitter again as much as possible. I want to just do indoor exercises as my foots still not 100%. no gym here as its a rented house. Any ideas?
Im thiking of something fairly intense that keeps the calories burning.
