European cruise info..going to italy and france and spain for 8 days?

I have never been on a cruise so i have a couple of questions:
1. Do you they let you off the ship all day and nite?
2. Would i get a chance to see venice and rome in one day?(the famous stuff)
3. How far away is paris,venice,rome,barcelona from these ports?
4. Best way to get to these cities from the ports?

1. No idea. You'll have to ask the cruise line itself.

2. Certainly not. They are 3 hours away from each other by train. You might see a bit of one of those cities if you disembark near it.

3. Paris is miles inland, you won't get there. Venice is beside the sea. Rome is about 45 minutes inland from the sea, Barcelona is beside the sea.

4. Depends on where the ports are located. I'm sure you will be given information.
