DVD - wide screen to normal every 4 seconds :(?

When I play a DVD the screen changes from normal to wide screen on and off .its driving me mad my TV doesn’t do it then when I swich on my DVD it starts changing the screen size on and off can anyone help? don’t care what size the screen stays as long as it doesn’t change every 4 seconds

Go to the video size option on your TV, you should have things like full, panorama, letterbox etc. I guess it may be set to AUTO - you need to change this to one of the others. Also check if your DVD player has a similar option and turn AUTO off there as well.

(it sounds as though one of them is trying to automatically adjust the size but is having trouble with the signal)
