DVD buyers: How much does a regular dvd costs there in the U.S.?

like the recent ones like a year or few months ago?
and how bout the old movies like about 5 or 10 yrs ago?

i like movies and i wanna compare if the price is better, as i might
ask a friend to buy me some there in the US (and some hard-to-find
movies i love)

Old ones are like ten, but if your REALLY lucky you can find some five dollar ones
