About six hours after I got my wisdom teeth out I rinsed with water. I did not swish or spit, just tried to get some blood out because there was so much of it.
Now I am concerned that I may have damaged the clot? It has been almost 48 hours.
I do not hurt severely, like they said dry socket would, but I do have a really bad taste in my mouth. I am hoping this taste is just because I am having trouble swallowing and have my mouth open while sleeping. I have not eaten anything solid. Only soup and ice cream. But I have had carbonated beverages.
Is dry socket always accompanied by severe pain? For how many days after surgery am I at risk for dry socket?
