Does this whole Karate Kid remake bother you?

Karate, or "open hand," was developed in Japan so it made sense for Mr. Miyagi, a Japanese man, to teach it to Daniel. Jackie Chan's character would probably be Chinese, just guessing here, so it would make sense to teach Kung Fu. Then again, why the hell do we need a Karate Kid remake?
