i think my rat might have mites, he has been itching a lot and in result has little scabs and is lost hair in some places near his shoulders. I want to know how to make him better. keep in mind my parents won't let me take him to the vet. somewhere i read dawn dish soap would kill the mites. is this true? and could it hurt him?
