I have a 99 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD and while driving it will make a whining noise, but the noise only appears when I accelerate. If I let off the accelerator, the noise will dissipate. The more I press on the accelerator, the louder and faster the whine becomes, but then goes away if I let off the gas.
It sounds like it's coming from the drive train somewhere, but I have no clue where to start. Anyone have any good ideas of what it is? Thank you.
