I've had, what I believe to be a bladder infection for the last month. Bacteria in the urine was confirmed early on and I got a prescription for Ran-Ciprofloxacin 500's. But as I'm a little iffy about taking antibiotics, I left those as a last resort. I treated the infection for 5 weeks with herbal remedies, such as Oil of Oregano, Acidophillus, Cranberry pills, Cranberry juice, D- Mannose & other such things. It did improve greatly but I could not completely treat it. So I took the presciptions meds. They didn't do a thing. It's stayed at the same point, not getting worse, and no improvement either.
Any suggestions on getting rid of this?
Or perhaps on a different diagnosis.
Note: I haven't taken any antibiotics for the past three years, and even then it was only once, so resistance is unlikely.
Also, STD's aren't a factor.
